Geo News Network has been banned in major cities of Pakistan 2014

Geo news network has been banned in many cities and many areas specially containment areas ans army offices. According to news " A ban has been imposed on Jang group newspapers, including Daily Jang and The News and Geo News network at all Pakistan army office, mess, units and containment places ".
Geo network on aired a controversial news related to senior anchor Hamid Mir attack pointing directly that Pakistan's ISI (Inter Services Intelligence) has been responsible for the firing incident and Hamid mir had a life threat from ISI.

Now Pakistan's leading news channel Geo news has been off air in major cities specially in Islamabad, Karachi, Multan, Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta. On the other hand the other channels of Geo entertainment group including Geo Kahani, Geo Taiz, Geo Sports has also been blocked in military areas.
It is said that Geo News has arose negative publicity of after Hamid mir firing attack.No official statement has been released from PEMRA and ISI.
